Was I too harsh with them?

In a post about signature configuration in OOC Forum, an unrelated person came in an posted a sig test post.

Recently, I am trying harder then usual to be nice.

Was I good?

I don't think you were too harsh. The only thing I would suggest is to explain how people can test their sigs without actually posting. (Use 'Preview' and then cancel the post.)
