eh? ive been debating whether to spend so much money on buying EQ...ive neva played it before but many people have told me bout it..so ive been to many EQ sites reading the FAQz and things bout it...but u think its kind of late to start? i mean it started in 1999 i believe...so like id be all new to something when people have been there for 4 yrs..and do u really need to battle alot and level up..i mean is that the whole basis? eh? it looks so much fun and sounds fun but i dont want to spend my WHOLE time battling i want to socialize and otha things..so wat is it truly like in there?

A great option for you is the 30 day free trial for the origonal game, no expansions. This means you can give the game a pretty good work out to see if you like the basic idea and gameplay of EQ without it costing you a cent. If you decide that you do want to play, just buy the expansions and you're all set.
That said, Star Wars Galaxies is coming out in like a month, and EQ2 in a couple of months. If the people who have been trying to get you to play EQ are going to switch to them, there's no point in getting started here with out your friends.
