  • Does this site work anymore?

I can't find any information for any of the new ROF Cultural Armor Recipies.

Is the site down or is it still being used?

    Any information would be appriciated!!

    1. All of the recipes have followed the same pattern for several expansions, so figuring out the recipe for Regal, if it is not available yet, is easily discovered by pulling up a previous expansions recipes. Not only that, once you scribe the books you get every recipe listed, along with stats.
    2. There are a great many recipes already added for this expansion. That is evident by taking a quick peak at Completed Updates and not only noting the RoF recipes, but also the dates they were completed. It can be assumed, therefore, that effort is being made to include the many hundred new recipes for the armor as well.
    3. Aanuvane especially and others work very hard, voluntarily, to keep up with updates.

With a little effort on your part, you could have avoided asking a question that comes across as, quite honestly, insensative if not outright rude.

I was motivated to get to 100 quickly with this release for some reason, so I've actually been playing rather than focusing on updates. Now that I am 100, I'll try to get more updates done, but it would really help if folks could help by posting discoveries rather than my having to do all the experimenting and posting

      Cheers!

OH and one more thing - maintaining this site has gotten extraordinarily more painful since the demise of EQItems. If anyone wants to help us here by helping them fix their stuff, it would make it a lot easier on me. Unfortunately our "item" tie in comes from EQ Items which is for all intents and purposes dead. That means for every single item, I have to enter all the stats manually. It makes it very time consuming. When EQ items was up and running, as long as someone had reported the item, I could import all the stats/information by just entering the name of the item. Now, I have to look the item up on Lucy, manually enter all stats/information, switch to a different Lucy view to get the icon and EQID (unique identifier) enter that and save. It used to take 30 seconds to enter a whole set of cultural Armor, now each set takes 15 mins or so. I know, doesn't sound like much, but it really is a pain.

I can't help you with the first part, but for the second part, you can use the daily item download, available here: http://lucy.allakhazam.com/downloads.html

My apologies if I came off insensitive or rude, that was not my intention.

I am very aware everything done and posted here is on a volunteer basis and you have done a supreme job at it. That is why I was suprised when I cam here looking for information and I couldnt find any.

I am also aware that these boards are maintained out of pocket at someones own expense and had thought that maybe that person had gotten tired of taking care for the site. I am happy that is not the case.

I am a noob in many matters of what it take to keep a database site like this maintained and was not aware that you you depended on OTHER sites to stay up and running to mine your data.

Again I appoligize and want to thank those that took the time to answer my questions nonetheless and help me on my way.

I hope yall will continue the good work and I look forward to coming back here again and again.

            Safe Journeys and Good Hunting!

            Ops
