Forum registrations temporarily disabled

After banning over 100 accounts across both this site and the EQ2 site, blocking dozens of ip's, and several mail domains ... all in the last 24 hours ... I need sleep. Turning off registrations for a few hours so I can get some without having to come back to a couple dozen more slimeball spambots accounts popping up while I sleep.

Me - grumpy? Whatever gave you that idea?

I'm still turning on and off forum registrations without warning. The veritable flood of bots, spammers, scammers, etc. is just beyond insane, and I'm banning, ip blocking and so on like crazy (a few HUNDRED in under 2 weeks, even with the forum registrations off half the time!) ... whenever I get too grumpy or otherwise need a break, I've been turning the registrations back off again.

Trust me, folks, you do NOT want to see what this would be like if I wasn't actively babysitting these durn things for wayyyyy too many hours a week.

Let us just say "family-friendly" would go right out the window.
