  • Hip, Hip, Hooray for Ngreth!

I just wanted to post a message thanking Ngreth for taking so much time and making so much effort to fully alert us all to the upcoming changes in the DON cultural recipes. His willingness to post messages in a number of different places so a maximum number of people will see them has proven to be hugely beneficial to more of us than I think we'll ever be able to accurately count. Ngreth has gone well beyond that, however, by spending what has to be large amounts of his time answering our endless questions and addressing our many concerns in a courteous, helpful and straight-forward manner.

I also want to think some other folks here as well.
    • The other members here for asking so many intelligent, courteous questions.
    • Ngreth's bosses for giving him permission to share all this info with us.
    • Niami Denmother (Blessings be upon her) for providing us all with such a terrific forum in which to interact with Ngreth and also for keeping him around despite the fact that in the past various members of his family may have eaten various members of her family who, for various reasons which in the interest of letting bygones be bygones shall not be discussed in this message, may have stopped wiggling.

    Three cheers for them all!

Think of it this way, Niami. In most insurance handbooks across Norrath, ogres are considered a force majeure, and damage inflicted by them is generally not covered, just like hurricanes or floods (for example, see section 42B of the policies issued by the Rivervale Insurance Specialty Consultancy and Management firm, also called RISC Management).

Now arguably, death due to a force of nature is death by natural causes, no? =)

I checked with my friends in Oggok. Between Clurg, Chef Dooga (a fellow tradeskiller, no less), Soonog, Guntrik, and some others there the consensus was that Great Uncle Rupert probably died of an affliction that often befalls folks who visit the swamp without adequate precautions. This affliction seems to be most common during periods of the year known as "breekffest," "loonch," and "deenner." It's got a lengthy technical name that was coined by an esteemed committee of Erudites, but all the locals down in southern Antonica just refer to it as "shmoosh-dee-hed" for reasons which may or may not me obvious to those who encounter it for the first time.

Clurg, who is generally acknowledged to be the smartest Ogre in Oggok, assures me that it's entirely natural.
