  • Guide Articles

As you'll have seen with the little trading card business, I recently looked at just about every article on the site.

While I was doing so, it occured to me that the majority of the guides are now obsolete, with Secone's Complete Tradeskilling Guide being the definitive guide that everyone seems to use, and the only one constantly updated.

It therefore occured to me that maybe instead of having skillup guides, you could have articles about the tradeskill as a whole; Why Bake? What are the popular things to bake? Who Bakes? What do you need to Bake?
Maybe include a little history about it, showing how baking has come along over the years.

    Just a thought.

<edit> I've used baking as the example because it came to my head first, but baking already has a guide close to my own idea, so it's not the best example.

I don't think we'll want to get rid of any articles (even the archaic ones make good history), but notes on those that are obsolete would be good to avoid confusing newcomers. I try to note those that I come across if I have time while I remember, but if you want to point out specific others, I'd be happy to note them as well.

Other than that, we're always willing to consider submissions for the site. I write some new guides to cover the biggest topics because nobody else has done so, but would love to use more that others have written. If anyone else wants to make up a guide for either the FAQs or Learn A Skill areas, I'd be happy to discuss putting it on the site. Just drop me a PM and explain what you'd like to write on!
