Other message boards have a 'report post' feature. Is there some way to alert mods and such about spam posts without drawing extra attention to it (e.g. making a post about it someplace else)?
This post will be longer than normal but I think it is necessary to show how sly they are now getting after all these years.
A banner advertisment on your website EQTraders.com directing people to give information even before telling people what they are signing up for at the URL of http://www.evonyonline.com/evonym.ht...FRFWagod_B7Bpg appears at closer inspection to be a sham. Going to http://www.evonyonline.com/ produces their so called homepage of 2 screenshots:
The first being a screenshot of a "beta" game
The second being a dead-link to a screen shot
Main page "By logging in I accept the T&C." is a dead link
They call new players a derogatory name "newbies". Only smug-full of themselves-out to score something players refer to new players as newbies. They try to SELL the game that doesn't exist for 50 USD a steal from the regular 100 USD. Nobody refers to currency as USD (us dollars), it is assumed to be in US currency unless the guy trying to push his scam is not in the US
Cinvoy tour is a dead link
Forums is a dead link
The site is listed as "beta" in the upper right corner, any game in "beta" should not charge at all. You don't ask potential customers to pay for something you are still testing out
Further investigation to the lower bottom near copywrite info UMGE link takes you to the so called parent site that has non-linking "void" games. Has zero real information about any of these great games that want money and all are in testing or developing stages
Payments are made via PayPal only
Parent company is based in China (not the US)
After all these years, a so called new game is developed and then split into 3 different games all with only 4 classes to play? What's new about that?
UMGE are the biggest name in online games right now, they are apparently backed by WowMine - the famous World of Warcraft gold farmers - is a common theme for the first pile of Google search pages for UMGE.
Any other reference to UMGE appears to be with regards to pages previously searched online by people trying to find out who these people are due to a lack of customer service or being ripped off
Google "Civony a scam?" and you get a pile of posts about people that got ripped off
I would like to trust your website. I have in the past, and would like to continue to do so in the future. Considering your honest reputation and understanding that you may not be aware of all of the banner ads that hit your website to help pay for the upkeep of your site I thought this was too important to let go to the wayside as just another junk game. This one stood out as a scam.
