      what about in game ads?

      What can be done to stop in game advertisers like...

      I'm constantly bombarded by ads from these guys and it's always someone different each time...sometimes 4-5 times per 6-8hours of game play...what's up with that?

      They use to come in /OOC and /Shouts but now they are sending tells

        EQtraders has no control over in-game spamming, this thread is meant for identifying undesireable ads on the EQTC site itself.

        There are threads over on EQlive forums about the spammers already, and one of the Devs, SKlug, is active in at least one of those threads. I encourage you to post there on this subject.

          Though many people don't like to do so, running /role seems to eliminate a great deal of the in-game spam, though. ;D

                  Going from bad to worse on choices to remove to add more domains to the blocked list, so it may be up to a week or two before I manage to figure out which combo of 200 sites blocks the most of these durn things. {gibber}

                  Really, really need a larger size on the blocked list {pokes the Google folks with a mumble}

                      /anon has fixed them for me, they search by level. if you are low level you get powerlevel ads. I started a toon in the tutorial and was getting messages, then went /anon and they stopped.
