Took a large rolling pin to the wts-auctions one. The problem with the info/search site is that it does searches based on the content of the target page, so often, it sees mention of EQ, and decides to do an EQ plat search. It does, however, do other ones based on the content of the page, so we've been loathe to get rid of it (we're getting close to our maximum number of blocked sites). We may have to rethink it, but I'm not sure yet.

I'm a fairly new - well - let's say old Smith who's decided to give it a go again, with a new toon. Never used EQtraders seriously up until now...

From my perspective, I am OVERJOYED to see some of the best sites up and running still - this being one of them.

I pay a nominal fee for Allakhazam, Magelo, and With the use I get from this site - budget allowing, I'll send ya a donate soon too (We're in the process of looking for a new place to live, so the budget's really tight now).

As far as the Ads go - it's just business, keep them up there if they are keeping this site up!!! - Please!! hehe

You have them done in a tactful manner anyway - if I see one that interests me I'll click on it, if not - I'll just ignore it. Ads only get annoying if they are all over the place or popping up - this site has neither, so they aren't an annoyance in any manner to me at all.

I am probably either today or tomorrow, going to impliment a "feature" (more like a test) where the ONE ad per page (and it will be just one ad) will apear in different spots.

This is in order to do some testing on where the best ad placement is. Basically I will have a way to track which placement gets the most clicks (still only one placement per page). This will last at least a few weeks if not a month, in order to find the best ad placement, then the ads will become "stable" again, and just be in that placement. There are three main templates (forum home, forum view, thread view) for the boards, and the placement may be per template. For example... for the forum, a top may be best, for thread view a botom may be best. But it will always be in the apropriate spot for that template after the test is complete

It's banner was something similar to "Buy Platinum and Items" When I clicked on the advert it took me to four links to the account auction type sites.
