Spell checker

When posting a reply to an existing thread, there's a button to bring up a spell checker. But, when starting a new thread (ie not replying), there is no spell checker.

I shure wisch I kud phix my speling erors on inishal posts.

any vbuliten wizard happen to know which template that is I need to change?

Sorry about dreging out a year old post, but I've noticed the button for the spell checker isn't showing up any more. Even on replies. Was this change intentional?

there is a new spell checker in this version, that is sorta part of the existing system.

make sure you are in WISIWYG mode OR the "Standard Editor - Extra Options" mode (I use the Later)

on the upper right of the grey area surrounding the text box you will see a button that is a little heck mark with ABC. This is a MUCH better integrated spell check. It runs with a MUCH better dictionary, and seems to work much better overall.

It does require that you install a plugin. But it is well worth it.
