Lost the ability to edit?

I no longer seem to be able to edit my own posts. I've tried logging out and back in with no luck. Did something change on the boards?

Never mind, it appears that I merely don't have the ability to edit my posts in the Database Updates forum (probably among others).

It was deemed a potential problem when DB Submitters were editing posts while DB Entry Clerks were entering the data. It made it difficult to keep track of what was entered/updated if the post was edited.

If you come up with more information, simply add an additional post to the same thread.

In any case, if there's information you need to add that you feel goes somewhere in your previous post, feel free to copy your post and just add the information into it to give a more complete post if you'd prefer to do that. Also, since we use posts to indicate that we've updated data, there was a chance that someone would edit information into their post after we had posted that we'd updated, and then we'd never realize it and be able to update the new information.
