I pwned my Avatar... oops...

    I pwned my Avatar... oops...

    So, I tried to change my avatar, and found the option to delete the former one, but not the option to upload the new one....


    Am I blind? Or is there an unflipped switch somewhere?

    I posted the same question in the new board thread. I'm guessing avatars are currently disabled on this board, so you can only remove your old avatar, not set a new one. If you had an avatar set up on the old board, it got imported, though.

      Hrm... I am not sure what the problem is.... I *DO* have the option enabled... I will spend more time poking around I guess.

        The only option I see when I go to edit avatar (control panel - settings & options - edit avatar) is "do not use an avatar."

        I can save changes or reset fields.

        And I thought it was Slortar the faceless. Am I misremembering? I checked, it's Mabelrode. Not Sanna.

            Is there a link or something to a site VBulletin has? well, duh, i could google it : P but I wonder if it's a flaw/ommission in the board code itself, rather than something done or not done by VB's users. And therefore, I'd wonder if they know...

            I want my avatar : P It's cute. And I have a couple in mind for some other people, too... ^_^!!!

              Prodded by Sanna's post, I did a little bit of searching, and found this thread which sounds like the same problem, although the solution is for windows boxes and I have no idea what this server's running on

                  Actually, the Windows fix points the way to the Unix (or Linux) fix. It's permissions. We'll have to poke at it it and see.

                              I wouldn't say demanding... just somewhat curious, since it says I can clear my Avatar, but no way I can see to set it...
