Linking policy?

I was wondering what your preferences are for linking to the main site. I.E. would you prefer that we don't link directly to specific recipe/stat pages? I know Woody gets a twitch in his left eye every time someone links one of his comics directly , so I thought there might be some bandwidth issue with doing that. Thanks in advance 8)

I'd prefer that folks link to the main page of the site, so that those being referred over get a better feel for what the site is about, see any news we want to announce ... and so that folks won't end up with a ton of broken links when we finally convert over to the database, and all the old pages go away, to be replaced with php pages.
