Lower and Lower the Prices go

With everyone doing Tradeskills and so many items for sale the prices are at the point of not making profit or getting really close. Why someone would spend all the time to grandmaster a skill and then to sell stuff at cost is something I do not understand.

I guess the thinking is I want to be the only one to sell something and do not care if I make any money doing it. Instead of matching the lowest price that makes a bit of profit they price it lower, then the next guy a few plat lower. If they match the lowest price and both sell some of that item you make much more profit then if you are the only person selling that item and no profit.

It all comes down to greed that everyone wants to make money and doesn't care aslong as there making money. As for most people doing tradeskills just to GM not to take pride in he makings of stuff is due to the quests the impliment. Yes the quests are nice gift to be able to make for yourself but when your making quests tat require a player to have that high of skill in a tradeskill and a quests that requires you to be able to get to Elemental Planes your going to have better stuff already so the tradeskilling is just a matter of getting the skill to make your 1 produc and along the way all you need to do is get the skill and if you can break even on expensive combines better for them. Along with most of the people making the higher end quests such as earings money isn't really a big object to them.
