Tailoring Items - Information Needed

Hello Tradeskillers,

I am working hard to fill in the holes in the EQ Traders Database and I need YOUR help. What follows is a list of items where the information is incomplete and I would appreciate your assistance is accurately filling in this information. If you would be so kind as to review this list against the information at your disposal and post HERE the information that is unknown at this time I would appreciate it.

Please do not redirect me to another site (like Magelo, Lucy, Allakhazm's, etc). If I could find the information there, I would not be asking for your assistance. That doesn't mean these sites do not have the information, just that for one reason or another I could not find it at the site. If you can, and post that information here, it would help me immensely.

I know some of these items are relatively useless. That's not the point. They exist and are used in tradeskills, so we want to have the data for them.

The list that follows will be updated as items are added and removed as appropriate.

The various Robes from LoY Expansion I am sure have some stats like AC, Attributes, etc.

Check with Magelo. Its much easier to do it that way, especially since no one has, to the best of my knowlede, really bothered to make studded since the introduction of silk products.

And incidentally, according to Magelo, the studded belt has a weight of 1.0 and is small.

as for checking with Magelo..

For some stinking reason Magelo will not talk to me. No explaination is provided. No Error Code. Simple a 'Security' type error. I can not even get to the basic http://www.magelo.com url. It simply does not like me.

I expect it has something to do with the firewalls, but I have no hint as to what the problem is. Nor do I really care to try and find out at this point.

As for people 'making' it or not, because of it's uselessness... that is not for me to say. I simply know that the database does not have the stats for these items. I am seeking to fill them in with your help. I would like the information reposted here if at all possible.

Yes, Magelo doesn't work for me at work either - tries to download something that isn't there. I'll try to remember to go look at it when I'm home, though.

And hey! My level ten druid just spent some of her hard earned money buying some studded or reinforced, for all those places she couldn't find cheap equipment.

Heartsong - it's a trick -- you have to go in and edit his post, and find the little checkbox at the bottom for "sticky" as opposed to "normal". Confuzzled me to no end the first couple times, too!

For everyone else - please, if you have the time to look these up and get us the info do so. If you don't, please don't point us to other information resources. One of the reasons Krazick is asking for this is because he, and I, are far too swamped with all the *other* stuff that needs doing with the database, and he's not afraid to ask the community for help with things the community can help with.

Thanks for any help you can provide on this. The further we progress with this database, the more that we see needs doing, and there are only a few things, like this one, that we can throw out to the community at large. Too much of the rest of it needs special access, hand-holding, etc., so we're plugging along as able.

Then ask someone else to check Magelo for you.

Allakhazam's was my second suggestion, as they often have screenshots of the item's stats, but the first thing I looked for - the studded leather tunic - flat out wasn't listed at all, which gives some suggestion as to how rare this stuff is.

However, as I do have access to Magelo, I'll be more than happy to list it all for you.

Okay... This is odd. For some reason, the only item I can pull up on Magelo is the studded leather collar, despite the fact that I pulled up the belt earlier (didn't try anything else at the time).

Obviously, more should be available, as the item I pulled up earlier isn't showing now, but its simply not showing.

Okay. Realized what happened. It appears that the only item listed in Magelo as a "Studded Leather" item is the collar. There is, however, a Studded Belt (which is what I pulled up earlier), a Studded Tunic, and possibly other items as well. I'm going to go out on a limb here (well, not really), and advance the position that the "Studded" items are the same as the ones you have listed for Studded Leather. The database numbers are small (early) enough that this could very well be the case, and I know I've never seen any of the Studded items drop from anything. And, of course, there isn't a Studded Collar (because its called a Studded Leather Collar). Note that the word leather is also absent from the small and large versions of this equipment.

Why you should do it yourself

Enumerin, understand that "checking magelo or allakhazam's" can potentially be basically copying someone else's incorrect information. A lot of the stuff in Alla's is out of date; a lot of the screenshots exist before the UI, Beastlords, or even Kunark.

You can fix magelo access with IE by choosing Tools -> Internet Options -> Advanced and checking the 'Use HTTP 1.1 through proxy connections'.

Wrong, there is *no* manual input into the magelo database. Alla's is completelty different, it is manual and can, and often is, wrong.

If the item stats are in Magelo/Lucy, then it's because that item and its stats where seen in game at some point by the data collector. No human involved.

But the problem here is that these items are not yet in magelo and lucy.

Robes of Neglect

Trivial is somewhere between 210 and 212 for the Robe of Neglect.

I hit 210 doing one and then did the ethereal silk to 212. Went back to robes and they are now trivial at 212.
