I failed the final combine 3 times. each time I got back my crystallize veeshan's tears (automatically, no salvage message) so you cannot lose them on the combine. I also got back my crestra's elaborate earring with no salvage message so that too cannot be lost in the combine. I lost 2 beads and a drake wingbone. Would be nice to add that on fail, always returns the tears and previous earring
