I am completing the quest tonight (10 May 2014), and here are the items I had to make for the Freshman Spell Research Trophy (I'm an enchanter if that matters):

1 Highland Sludge Drying Powder (deliver 1)

It may seem like I mistakenly typed duplicates, but that is exactly how it is laid out in the quest journal.
