I can confirm that the recipe is correct as it is currently posted, using the skill of Blacksmithing:

When I tried the recipe I used a "Forge". It likely works in other types of forge, just that this is the only container type I tested it in.

I cannot confirm the "on failure returns" result. However it is likely correct.

This recipe is number 67010 in the EverQuest recipe list from /outputfile recipes blacksmithing :

One small difference is that the resulting item no longer has the "MAGIC ITEM" tag, as the MAGIC ITEM tag has been removed from all items that used to have them in EverQuest as of a recent patch.

I will not be going through the DB and removing all magic tags from items. My only way to interact with data is through labor intensive forms - I do not have backend access to write/execute update queries.

Thanks for the confirmation, I appreciate the feedback, but know many comments like that are very old. When you run across them and want to help with clean up, a simple message acknowledging the confirmation is fine - normally I'd be a stickler for more detail if the recipe was new ....
