Making Seals for use in an Amalgamator is a simple process, though it does take a certain amount of skill. They are made similarly and can be made via tailoring, smithing or even tinkering.
Smiths will need a seal pattern, some ore, a water for the seal you are making, two platinum bars and a vial of purified mana. Work the ore and platinum into the appropriate symbol, using the seal pattern, and temper it using the vial of mana and the water. Chronal and discordant seals will need tungsten ore, bazu and last blood seals need cobalt ore, serpents and sunshard seals need titanium ore, while faycite seals need tantalum ore.
Tailors can make the seals using either silk or leather. Similar to the way smiths make the seals, tailors will need a seal pattern, the appropriate silk or leather, water for the seal you wish to make, platinum thread and a vial of purified mana. Soak the leather or silk in a mixture of the purified mana and the water. While it is still wet, use your tools and the platinum thread to cut and sew it into the appropriate shape acording to the seal pattern. Chronal and discordant seals will use excellent animal pelts or silk, bazu and last blood seals use superb animal pelts or silk, serpents and sunshard seals need flawless animal pelts or silk, while faycite seals need exquisite animal pelts or silks.
Tinkering is very similar to smithing and will use all of the same components. The issue for tinkers is that the tools they have in their toolkit will not heat the metal hot enough to work it properly. In order to work the seals they will need to use three gnomish heat sources in order to heat the metal properly.
