Phloyd, the human bard, just made his Crown of Deceit, because he collects illusions. I ran into a problem that Shadrok, the iksar warrior (who had a real need for a wood elf illusion) did not encounter a few months ago. The Mortar and Pestle would not work.
Only Rogues can now use a Mortar and Pestle. Ngreth added a new recipe to the Mixing Bowl to fix this quest. Also noted in suggestions below are faction requirements, location, placeholder, spawn time, and additional text.

He gives you a Lore No Drop book, which you bring to the Old Frog in Upper Guk. You must have positive faction with the Frogloks of Guk in order to get him to respond, and using sneak to hand in the book does not work
The Old Frog is located in the hallway around the corner just past the priest room if you are traveling from the direction of the Squire spawn. He does have a placeholder (details not available) and his respawn time is unknown, but relatively short. Hand him the book.

He gives you a Lore No Drop Picturebook, which you bring to the old froglok in Upper Guk. You must have "warmly" faction with the Frogloks of Guk in order to get him to respond. Faction can be bettered by killing Old Sebilis frogloks or Lower Guk undead frogloks. Evil characters will need to max their faction and wear the Scalp of the Ghoul Lord (form the Ghoul Lord in Lower Guk).
The old froglok is located in the hallway around the corner (pos1265, pos215) just North past the priest room. The old froglok or his placeholder (a froglok ton shaman) are replaced by a new spawn (can be either one) every 30 minutes. Killing the placeholder does not hasten the process and hurts your all-important faction. Hand the old froglok the book.
