Hi! Just to update, at level 58, I tried to get the Tinkering Mastery quest yet again and Rylin Coil gave me the same reply. After a bit of xp'ing, the moment she ding'd 59 I ran back to Ak'Anon and was able to get the quest.
BTW all the necessary ingredients for the Stalking Probe can be bought from Rylin Coil.
I didn't think about it at the time but I goofed and kept leveling to 65, since aa were still slow at 60 grouped with my 75 toons. At 65, I scribed the first rank of TM for 3 aa's with no problems. Since I didn't see it mentioned, the books say "Required level 51" on them, even though you can't get them until 59. The AA shows as such on the OoW tab:
At level 56, Rylin Coil would not give my gnome enchanter the quest for the Tinkering Mastery AA's. He says he is sorry, he does not have anything for someone with my abilites. She has a 300 skill in tinkering.
I think its safe to say the required levels for starting the quest are the same that the other tradeskill aa's are to buy, level 59 for the first level. Will do some leveling and try again.
