Ciodaru's Quests - Details

Apparently the npc you talk to for this step also offers to do the combine for you if you pay her. It is unclear whether this is also the case for the other steps.

The NPC you talk to for all steps will offer to do the combine for you for that step. They charge 10pp to do it, and there are optional stages in each quest.

The optional stages are kinda like (Opt.) Deliver 1 <component> to <NPC>, with a hidden task stage (? ? ?) which is more than likely to deliver 10pp. I didn't do the hand-in, I made the item myself.

Also, I have not tested, nor have I wanted to, but it MIGHT be possible to raise the earring's stats higher. All of the quests are repeatable.

One more follow-up question for you: in the Protect Kathryn Some More step, where does the Note from Razvan come from? Does one of the tuffein drop it? The last grabber, perhaps?

I believe it was from the last Grabber, but can't say for sure. I can confirm that it WAS a drop from one of the Tuffein.

Also, that stage was the worst for being buggy. This is from memory, but...the Tuffein spawned two at a time the first time I did this quest, but the task kill stages only appeared one at a time. And, with two or more Tuffein up at once, it was very easy for Kathryn and the other dryads to steal the kills.

So you have to kill the thug before the grabber out of each spawn?

When I did that part, it was one spawn each of thug, grabber, thug, grabber. It was a couple minutes between each spawn.

A couple of confirmations. I just did this quest recently myself. The "Note from Razvan" drops from the last mob in that quest, which is the second Tuffein Grabber. The "gather evidence" step updates when you loot the note.

For each protect task, the spawns are timed. The mobs come singly, with about three or four minutes between each one.

Hopefully that means it's been fixed, then. The first time I did the quest, I had one spawn instantly and the second spawn a few seconds later, and ended up killing them out of order. (Ward of Retribution isn't particular about such things as kill order )

We still need a lot of detail on these, npc text and such, if anyone has it! If you did it in the past you may be able to dig a lot out of your NPC Journal and Task windows.
