Did you succeed at making the unfired charm? If you did, it should have been learned so you could see the exact trivial in the UI. If you failed there's no indication of whether it was trivial or not.

I failed it. I thought failure at a trivial combine still gave the "you can no longer increase your skill" message. I guess I was wrong.
