Goru'Kar Mesa quest

This quest starts in Goru'Kar, in the Minohten camp. The first part doesn't involve tradeskils, but the second part (and maybe the rest) do.

Talk to Ciodaru. This quest sends you to the top of the mesa with the tree, to talk to one of the dryads. You ask her several questions, then return to Ciodaru with the responses. He then ask you to help him get some items for her.

The first item is an emerald necklace. He sends you to Cresent Reach to talk to the JC merchant Nailah. She gives you a note that tells you how to make "glowing green silver". You have to collect the 3 components by killing mobs in Goru'kar. The first is "raw silver", which drops off the earthen slimes in the caves at the Minohten camp. The second is "lightstone". I got mine from one of the willowisps near the dryads, but you get a faction hit for killing them, and I don't know if there are other willowisps there. The third is "section of mesa snake pancreas", which drops off of any of the snakes in the zone. You combine the three in a jeweler's kit, and get "glowing green silver":

You learn the recipe, which trivials at 190, and can now make it with components that drop in any zone (at least that's what Nailah said).

You then combine the "glowing green silver" with an "emerald" (can get this from anywhere) to get a "glowing emerald pendant":

You then give the necklace to Ciodaru, who gives it back, and says that he'll have you make a box for the gifts later. He then can start the next quest in the series, which involves brewing.

Sorry, I forgot to post the reward for the first quest. It's an earring, level 28 recommended, level 35 required. It starts out with no stats, but gets better the farther along this quest line you go.

Overall Notes -

Each step in the task that has you doing a tradeskill combine will require you to loot the number of components needed for one combine of that step. At 300 skill in each I did not fail a combine, but since the trivials on each are 190 I probably got a bit lucky (I don't think I remembered to equip a single trophy). This means that collecting extra parts ahead of time may be helpful if your skills are lower, but you will be required to loot enough for one combine during the task itself, so it's likely not a good idea to get the components together before you get the quest. Definitely not worth getting them in the bazaar.

There are four steps in the quest were you don't make anything. In three of them you are protecting Kathryn, in the fourth you are leading an offensive against the Tuffein camp. At level 71 all encounters were trivial, but I imagine if you are doing the quest in the level 28 - 35 range these encounters will be increasingly difficult.

1. The first encounter happens at step 4 in the quest, where you have to kill one Tuffein Thug. Keep in mind you must get the kill shot, if Kathryn or some other NPC gets the kill you will need to drop the task and restart. This is the case for each step where you need to kill for credit.
2. The second encounter happens at step 7, where you need to kill a Tuffein Thug and a Tuffein Grabber. I'm assuming the grabber is more difficult then the thug, but at 71 the difference was transparent. Both of these mobs spawn at once, so if your DPS is low you may not get the kill shot on one or both.
3. The third encounter is at step 10. This step gives you 4 waves of 1 mob each, alternating between a thug and a grabber. Again at 71 these were super trivial, and the only problem I had was missing a kill shot to a wisp that had joined in on the fight. I was able to drop task and repeat, making sure to get the kill.
4. The final fight-only encounter is at step 11. You need to kill 10 Tuffein's at their encampment, as well as the named leader Razvan. They all went down fairly quickly, so not sure of any special attacks or abilities.

You have to go the the pond in the east part of the map. When you walk (or was that swim?) in the correct area, the pond water appears on your curser. I think it was near the quest NPC right to the south of the pond.

Is this Dark Green Dye the same one we already have, those that are used for dying fine plate?

It's the fine plate dye.

I've been through all 12 of these quests, and I have to say I'm disappointed. The reward is barely better than Blightfire quests, and surpassed by every quested or dropped item in Goru'Kar. Not to mention, every tradeskill stage requires a trip to Crescent Reach...usually two, if it requires a stationary container. Not to mention, you have to kill dryad protectors to make these items. And on the non-tradeskill stages, the dryads will assist on the Tuffein, and if they KS you, you don't get task credit. At the level when this earring is actually useful, it's impossible to get.

I'm confused. Is the the "Envenomed Blade" used to make the Envenomed Atheme (actually Athame) actually the "Envenomed Steel Blade" or a separate item called just "Envenomed Blade"?
