when i viewed it was listed as "Bugged, do not attempt"

it worked fine for me. Got the charm patterns when i combined the journeyman's book of barbarian cultural with the compacted backpack and such. the trivial was listed as "unknown" it is 102

Got rid of the bugged note on the item...also removed the bugged note on the barbarian combine for the journeyman's charm pattern. Are the other culture's combines working now as well for making this pattern?

For Oct 27, 2005, which states "Players will now be able to make journeyman's charm patterns instead of cloth caps!"

I made the gnomish charm patterns and the Journeyman's Charm of Derived Invention. Someone on the boards also said they made Iksar journeyman's charm patterns.

As I said, I can verify the gnomes' work. I think it's safe to assume they all work, but I don't know how you do your updates. Do they all need to be verified before the recipe page is changed?

I can confirm the human one combines correctly.

I believe the bugged notes came about when the charms were first introduced. The recipe gave a cloth cap instead of the charm patterns. That got fixed pretty quickly.
