A snag

Upon starting the research quest I found that the Quill of the Arcane is not correct. When I did the combines I recieved Quill of the Archanist and haven't been able to find if another combine is needed to make it Archane. I hope this is where I can post this otherwise I am lost.
Any help would be appreciated.

You left out the Sample of Highland Sludge. Stuff comes from a key only zone, Qvic and is IMPOSSIBLE to find.

As stated in some other threads, the turn in tasks require 1 for each combine done during the create task. For example: create 20 vials of pure water, which takes 4 combines (5 vials at a time) so you have to turn in 4. Whereas, create 4 aqua regia, which takes 4 seperate combines, requires 4 to be turned in.
