Question about evolving...

I have 286 skill and got the 5/7 trophy. I did 20 combines, and checked the status of the trophy under inventory/evolving items. It appears it evolves 1 percent every 10 combines.

My question is that if I hit 300 skill before completing 980 more combines, will the trophy pop to 6/7? Worst case I can imagine is I hit 300 skill with the trophy needing 400 more combines to evolve. Would be worth just trashing it and doing the trophy quest again to get the 6/7 version.

Oh... and I honestly do not think I'll get that lucky with the next 14 skillups, but just wondering what would happen if I did.

the experts quest also wants my grandmaster jewellers eyeglass which woulld cost me 1500 plats to remove aug and stats would be less except for jewelcraft would be 3 higher not sure its worth it.
