I'm a little surprised this hasn't been mentioned previously (that's I've noticed) so I'll just go ahead and share the information that I have.
The Kobold Shaman's Pouch, looted in the Warrens and in Stonebrunt Mountains (different random mobs according to allakhazam), does work for the Abysmal Sea freebie alchemy quest. I just used it last night without a problem on my 26 VAH SHM on Druzzil Ro.
The stats on the Kobold Shaman's Pouch are as follows:

capacity 6
When opened to the auto tradeskill ui at a skill of 54 in alchemy (immediately following the freebie quest without having done anything prior to the quest), you have the following recipes show up when you do just a blank search with the skill level 0 500. I'll list them by trivial level. (This can also confirm some trivial levels on some recipes as well if not already confirmed.)
Trivial 31:
Elixir of Clarity 1
Elixir of Healing 1
Elixir of Health 1
Elixir of Speed 1
Health Potion 1
Wayfarer Black Dye
Trivial 36:
Black Extract
Black Extract (Blue Slumber)

I just now copied all of these out of the recipe search window that I have open right this moment. This is to let you know that at least these recipes can be done in this container as well as the ones that have already been listed. If you want I can periodically update the recipes that show up in this container. It seems to be just as useable as the medicine bag, though I'm not positive since I haven't purchased the medicine bag yet since this worked for the quest.
