Regarding Large Black Fine Plate Breastplate (#3655), both lucy and EQItems have listings for Large Black Fine Steel Breastplate with the same stats as this. Neither have listings for Large Black Fine Plate Breastplate.
... after checking a little bit more...
It looks like other tinted BPs are similarly named different (Plate v. Steel)...
Large Blue (3613), Large Grey (3676), Large Red (3420), and Large Slate (3697).
The large crimson seems to match, as it has neither plate nor steel in its name.
Clicky finger's too tired to check if regular or small are similarly named. When I get home tonight, I'll log in and see if i can verify the names in game.
