    Ancestral Vah Shir Armor

The Vah Shir have unique needs when it comes ot armor. There are many concerns, such as fur and tail, that are not issues for the armorers of other cultures. This book focuses on those needs by reprinting tales from Vah Shir, both famous and obscure, who have participated in extended battles. These stories are from all ages, with a few of them attributes to Kejekens long dead. There are notes, patterns and documentation carefully preserved by Vah Shir smiths and tailors from centuries past. These bits of information appear to be randomaly ordered at first, but after several chapters you can see the value of every story in the order it is presented. They build, one upon the other, to show the evolution of armor among the Vah Shir. Eventually it leads to avenues yet unexplored, extrapolating the advancment of this armor to new levels.

The patterns in this book can be copied many times, but eventually they will wear out and you can tell that if you use the patterns enough you will need to replace the book.

To create pattern for tailoring armor templates based on these patterns you will need this book, a large bottle of ink, a roll of plain parchment, a quill and a compacted backpack to hold the patterns you will make. You'll also need a book of binding to do the work.

If you wish to use the patterns to make molds you'll need a kiln to work in as well as a high quality firing sheet, sculpting tools, a huge block of clay and a compacted backpack to hold the molds when you're done.

Journeyman's Book of Vah Shir Culture

The Vah Shir are a competent, spiritual people. Their life on Luclin helped them to become a very close-knit society, but did not prevent them from being open-minded enough to accept strangers into their city when they began to arrive from Norrath in large numbers. The Vah Shir have two strong sides to their personalities; on one hand they are wise, thoughtful beings with a link to their ancestors and a wonderful sense of their place in the universe. On the other hand they are fierce, violent and cagey in battle, much like the large cats they so resemble. This dichotomy does not disturb them in the least, it is who they are. This understanding and acceptacne of who they are allows them to live in an orderly society where there is little crime and people feel safe with their neighbors. These books explore the art, architecture and symbols used by the Vah Shir. They provide in-depth understanding of how these objects affect the people that created them, but it also focuses on their use as military and governmental insignia and on armor worn by members of those groups.

This volume examines the symbols used in the architecture of Shar Vhal. The same structures that give the city its beauty also make iut feel like home to the Vah Shir. The domes, filigree and following curved walls make the city flow and, though the walls are tall and strong, the Vah Shir never feel penned in. The metallic and earthy colors used throughout the city add to this feeling of comfort.

Among the pages of discussion about these symbols is a pattern. This pattern combines the basic symbols of Vah Shir culture into a powerful image that has meaning to every Vah Shir that sees it. You know that you will be able to reproduce this pattern many times before the book becomes worn and you must replace it.

To create pattern for tailoring armor templates based on these patterns you will need this book, a large bottle of ink, a roll of vellum, a quill and a compacted backpack to hold the patterns you will make. You'll also need a book binding to do the work.

Expert's Book of Vah Shir Culture

The Vah Shir are a competent, spiritual people. Their life on Luclin helped them to become a very close-knit society, but did not prevent them from being open-minded enough to accept strangers into their city when they began to arrive from Norrath in large numbers. The Vah Shir have two strong sides to their personalities; on one hand they are wise, thoughtful beings with a link to their ancestors and a wonderful sense of their place in the universe. These books explore the art, architecture and symbols used by the Vah Shir. They provide in-depth understanding of how these objects affect the people that created them, but it also focuses on their use as military and governmental insignia and on armor worn by members of those groups.

This book looks closely at the symbols used in military organizations throughout the history of Shar Vahl. It shows that these symbols have changed little over the years, and extrudes the core symbolism from the examples. It also explores the differences between these symbols in great detail. The slow evolution of these insignia is significant, but so is the manner in which they change.

Among the pages of discussion about these symbols is a pattern. This pattern takes the military insignia of Shar Vahl in a slightly new direction based on the insight gained by examining past changes. The new symbol is exciting because of tat divergence, but reassuring because of the use of familiar symbols. You know that you will be able to reproduce this pattern many times before the book becomes worn and you must replace it.

To create pattern for tailring armor templates based on these patterns you will need this book, a large bottle of ink, a roll of good quality vellum, a quill ad a compacted backpack to hold the patterns you will make. You'll also need a book binding to do the work.

Master's Book of Vah Shir Culture

They provide in-depth understanding of how these objects affect the people that created them, but it also focuses on their use as military and governmental insignia and on armor worn by members of those groups.

This volume explores the savage side of the Vah Shir. It looks at the emergence of acknowledged beserkers in Shar Vahl and the symbols that they have taken as their own. The author shows how the radical dearture from tradition is only an apperance and that there are meanings and traditions in these symbols that tie them ti their society as strongly as any other.

Among the pages of discussion about these symbols is a pattern. This pattern uses the more savage symbolism in Vah Shir society to create a pwerful symbol for all Vah Shir. You know that you will be able to reproduce this pattern many times before the book becomes worn and you must replace it.

To create pattern for tailoring armor templates based on these patterns you will need this book, a large bottle of ink, a roll of high quality vellum, a quill and a compacted backpack to hold the patterns you will make. You'll also need a book binding to do the work.

The opening paragraph of all the books are the same, its the following paragrahs that differ, so you have allot of it. If you can just piece the last parts together you should be ok.

I've given up on tracking the book texts. We don't track book texts for any other books, so I'm not terribly guilty about this. The work involved just seems like a LOT for the practical benefit they'd bring.

As a consolation prize, I've added charts to the bottom of each quest writeup showing what drops are needed to make the various armors. I plan to further expand that, too, eventually....

I do appreciate all the help though, Psychosis. I know all too well that transcribing stuff like that takes a good bit of time. I'm sorry we can't use it, but please know it's much appreciated.
