Hey-low again,
Remmadee of the Nameless again with a very belated addition to my first posting about troll cultural for DoN tasks/quests.
OK a quick update on the Expert's book task: Takin' da Fight to da Froggie, I posted earlier that phosperous powders weren't dropping from any ole ghoul knights from Lower Guk, well, after going back a second time and asking around to some veterans of the zone, I learned that deeper into Lower Guk, the powders will drop. Froglok Zol Knights dropped on average 2 per kill, these spawns are near the 'Frenzied Room' (possible elsewhere, I didn't check thoroughly
)where the Frenzied Ghoul is (I lucked out cause a group of higher levels were out for the Fabled Frenzied Ghoul and let me loot their kills
) Upon slaying 5 wan knights and looting 1 froglok meat and handing in the meat:

I have yet to venture into Old Sebilis yet, once I do, hopefully you all will be the first to know
I also noticed you were missing info for the text of 'Journeyman's Book of Erudite Culture', and text for 'Journeyman's Book of Froglok Culture', along with the Ancestral Troll Armor, Journeyman's Book of Troll Culture and Expert's Book of Troll Culture texts.
=Journeyman's Book of Froglok Culture=
Froglok history is filled with downfalls, horror and cataclysm, but as a people they remain calm, insightful and optimistic. Their link to their god, Mithaniel Marr remains strong, despite the friction between the gods and mortals that fills the current age. They are often considered wise by those that they would call allies. Their enemies mock their stature and usually passive nature, but fear their ferocity when stirred to battle and their determination to reach goals once they have chosen them. These books take a look into the factors that have kept the race strong despite their tribulations. It reviews traditions, rituals, structure and worship throughout the ages, but it does so from an unusual angle. While it mentions leaders, heroes, battles and places, it focuses on the symbols used to rally the people and the way that those symbols have been used in military and religious organizations. This volume looks at the ways of the modern Froglok. It describes the symbols that they chose to preserve from their former home in Guk and how they have been changed to better suit their new home. The author follows the threads of the changes and expands on them. This book gives insight into modern Froglok society that few of the best scholars could have seen and explains it in a way that every Froglok can understand. Among the pages of discussion about these symbols is a pattern. By understanding these changes and the subconscious reasons for them, the author is able to use them more precisely and to create a symbol that fully represents the glory of the history that has finally lead the Frogloks to the place they now call home. You know that you will be able to reproduce this pattern manny times before the book becomes worn and you must replace it. To create patterns for tailoring armor templates based on these patterns you will need this book, a large bottle of ink, a roll of vellum, a quill and a compacted backpack to hold the patterns you will make. You'll also need a book binding to do the work.
=Journeyman's Book of Erudite Culture=
The true strength of Erudite armor comes not from the materials used in the crafting process, but rather from the magical defensive glyphs etched across the armor's surface. The creation of the glyphs involves an arcane process requiring extensive training and a steady hand. many Erudites have developed the glyphs into an arcane language of its own that continues to evolve from creator to creator. Due to the complexity and rarity of these glyphs, they were quite distinctive in the coats of arms of Erudite heroes and nobles. This book contains the simplest of Erudite protective glyphs. Although created mainly for practice with the glyph making process, these patterns do provide a modicum of protection. Despite their relative simplicity, the patterns and rituals involved require a substantial degree of intellect and patience to master. You know that you will be able to reproduce these patterns many times before the book becomes worn and you must replace it. To create patterns for tailoring armor templates based on these patterns you will need this book, a large bottle of ink, a roll of vellum, a quill and a compacted backpack to hold the patterns you will make. You'll also need a book binding to do the work.
(Also, the dialogue from Korzan Virimove in Paineel is the EXACT same as the dialogue from Gorion Telld'mare, my Erudite shadowknight obtained the Ancestral Book and Journeyman's Book)
=Ancestral Troll Armor=
This book is an overview of the history of Troll society. Outsiders expect that what Trolls call society is nothing more that an extended version of king of the hill, where the strongest and most brutal lead. This is, of course, true. However, it isn't as simple as that. There are rules in Troll society just as there are in others, but those rules have not prevented them from being a generally chaotic and undisciplined group of savage and powerful creatures. It becomes clear that this hectic way of life has left Trolls little time for more creative aspects of life. The author specifically focuses on armor. Throughout history Trolls have used armor made by other races; gathering their cast-offs, claiming them off their respective corpses or, rarely, paying to have pieces made. Despite this, the author discovers trends in the kind of armor that Trolls prefer, those that they find to be the most useful and useable. These trends lead to some interesting conclusions about what kind of armor a Troll would make if a Troll had the time to do so. The patterns in this book can be copied many times, but eventually they will wear out and you can tell that if you use the patterns enough you will need to replace the book. To create patterns for tailoring armor templates based on these patterns you will need this book, a large bottle of ink, a roll of plain parchment, a quill and a compacted backpack to hold the patterns you will make. You'll also need a book binding to do the work. If you wish to use the patterns to make molds you'll need a kiln to work in as well as a high quality firing sheet, sculpting tools, a huge block of clay and a compacted backpack to hold the molds when you're done.
=Journeyman's Book of Troll Culture=
The savage, enraged, brutal Troll that most people accept as the typical Troll is, indeed, the typical Troll. Trolls do have their own traditions and legends. Signs and prophecy are very important to them, and much of their motivation as a society is driven by the portents. Trolls are born of the god of Fear, Cazic-Thule, and his influence can be seen everywhere in their lives. All of these influences make symbols and insignia very important in Troll society. It is, for example, very handy to be able to recognize a powerful shaman even if you do not know that shaman personally. Trolls have developed simple, recognizable symbols for the most important parts of their society and these volumes describe those symbols in great detail. This book discusses in great detail the symbols of current Troll society. It looks at all of the current prophecies and signs in great detail (many of which have never been discussed in written form before, for fear that others would see them and attempt to alter the future that they predict). It follows the core symbols of these prophecies and looks at how Trolls have included them in society. Among the pages of discussion about these symbols is a pattern. This pattern uses the signs of modern Troll prophecy to create a symbol that is potent for any Troll that sees it. You know you will be able to reproduce this pattern many times before the book becomes worn and you must replace it. To create patterns for tailoring armor templates based on these patterns you will need this book, a large bottle of ink, a roll of vellum, a quill and a compacted backpack to hold the patterns you will make. These are always the most powerful prophecies for Trolls, and they are the ones that have had the greatest impact on their lives. It is commonly believed that these insights into the future are granted by Cazic-Thule himself. The author explores these prophecies and extracts their basic symbols. Among the pages of discussion about these symbols is a pattern. This pattern uses the most powerful symbols of Terror in Troll history to create a symbol of power and fear. You know that you will be able to reproduce this pattern many times before the book becomes worn and you must replace it. Well, there you have it. Hope these tidbits of information help you guys along further organizing the DoN cultural quest pages
