Shark Skin

There is a lore version, and a non-lore, stackable version. Evidently, both are useable in tradeskills. The lore version seems to be the one used in Advanced Poison Vials, and the stackable used in mage research combines (I have not confirmed either, but I have confirmed that the stackable version does NOT work in advanced poison vials). Could this possibly be noted in the database? I can't be the only person who's gotten a stack of shark skins, seen the database claiming that they're used for a triv 196 pottery recipe, and end up spending money making or buying the other bits to attempt said recipe.

Can you tell me your source for the new shark skin please? I'm sure that it is Erudin, but I need mob names please.

I'm not sure which one is the "new" one. I've seen the type that looks like a skinned shark (body and fin) for a very long time, and never yet seen the one that looks like a cat pelt. The only reason I know it's used in the advanced poison vial recipe is because it was in my pottery wheel UI. The skins that I had were from "a shark" in Erud's Crossing.
