  • Symbols

    All symbols are combinable by any race in any forge or sewing kit I believe. So far I have confirmed that Erudites can make Agnostic, Quellios, Prexus, Cazic Thule, and Rallos Zek in the Erudite cultural forge and sewing kit, as well as Tanaan forges and looms. The recipes shown in other threads here work for all races. The only differences in the combines are which water to use for which diety and which drop to use in determining the tier. The water used changes the deity requirements as well as the name of the aug, but does not appear to change stats on the Journeyman or Expert levels. Following is a chart listing the waters and the name of the symbols they create as I have confirmed them, as well as a quick refrence to the patterns followed in making the augs.

    Waters:
    To make a water of any tier you need to combine the proper diety based water with one of the 4 following ingredients to determine the tier:
    Journeyman's = Jade Shard (confirmed)
    Expert's = Lambent Stone (confirmed)
    Master's = Crushed Diamond Dust
    Grandmaster's = Purescale Ore

    Symbols (smithed):
    To make any symbol, you need to combine the water from the previous step with the pattern appropriate to the tier of the water and the slot you want to create, as well as one of the following 4 items per tier in a forge of any type:
    Journeyman's = Warbone Chips
    Expert's = Fire Opal (confirmed)
    Master's = Shissar Scales
    Grandmaster's = ??? (i'm drawing a blank atm)

    Symbols (tailored):
    Tailored symbols are similar to smithed symbols in triv and setup except that you need to use the following drops in a sewing kit instead:
    Journeyman's = Silk Swatch (confirmed)
    Expert's = Drachnid Silk Swatch (confirmed)
    Master's = Stormweave Swatch
    Grandmaster's = Coarse Silk Swatch

    Confirmed Dieties:
    Blessed water of ... = Symbol of ...
    Quellios = Stillness
    Rallos = Warmonger
    Cazic = Terror

    Water of the Skeptic = Symbol of the Skeptic

        You can add to this list "Blessed water of the Depths" which is Prexus water.

          Ok, that post just confused me hoping that was an example and not a universal? Im so lost, so don't kill me trying to understand it all LOL.

          I believe all the patterns, for both the symbol and armor, are based on the book full-backpack combine, and the "Swatches" for the type of level is made with mob parts.

          Guessing the swatches you have listed for that is for the Silk Swatches for the armor recipe and not "symbol" patterns since that is where the Book Binding comes into play.

          So...as an example for a Vah Shir leather list...:

          (example)
          Vah Shir Armor Swatch:
          (vendor thread + mob loot + race needle)

          Journeyman's = Medium Quality Rockhopper Hide
          Expert's = High Quality Rockhopper Hide
          Master's = Shissar Scales
          Grandmaster's = Glossy Drake Hide
          Regards,

              Of Below = Brell.

              And I can confirm that master symbols take shissar scales.
