  • New recipe for Feran Gloves

As with the sleeves, I was able to combine the gloves using a normal (not tanned) damaged skin. The exact recipe is:

Glove Pattern, feran blood(2), sewing needle, Damaged Feran Hide

The recipe learns as "Feran Gloves" and is trivial 268. I combined it in a collapsible tailoring kit, and the recipe appears in my Deluxe sewing kit.

On a related note, the existing recipe for Feran Gloves, using a tanned hide, says it uses a boot pattern. I'm guessing that's a mistake?

Do these recipes then have exactly the same name once learned?

And have you /bugged the boot pattern?

I haven't tried this with a tanned skin yet, so I can't tell you for sure.

The boot pattern refers to the recipe on EQTraders. I have no clue whether the in game recipe requires a boot pattern to produce a glove; if it did, that would indeed be a bug. My question was whether anyone knows if it had been entered wrong into the EQTC database, or whether it's actually like that in game?

Aha! Sorry, I blame the head cold that arrived the same day as I felt recovered from the stomach bug...and the resulting infusion of cold medicine. I feel like a walking petri dish.

I see reports that the gloves and boots originally had their recipes switched. I also see a report that the boot recipe was fixed, but no info on the glove recipe. I'll add a note to it requesting confirmation, especially since there is now one set set of ingredients that purportedly can result in two different items. I'll ping Maddoc, too.

To follow up, I tried making the gloves with a Tanned Damaged Feran Hide. The recipe works as expected. Same as what I listed above, substituting the Tanned for the normal hide. It uses a glove pattern, not a boot pattern -- which means that the entry in the EQTC database is probably wrong.

Trivial is 268 again, and again the recipe learns as "Feran Gloves" -- I now have two recipes in my UI with that name, one with the tanned hide and one with the normal hide.
