  • Clockwork Observer Duplicate Entries

Apparently, all seven of the Clockwork Observer items have two entries in the database. Both have correct stats. However, one has charges and the recipes to make the item; the other has no charges and no recipes. Lucy confirms that there is only one of each Clockwork Observer item in the game. I believe the EQTC entries with no charges and no recipes should be deleted.

    Hum. Quick follow-up to this.

It seems the no-charge items (the ones labelled as "invalid" above) are used in the recharge recipes. Techically, you can recharge an item regardless of the number of charges on it; you can recharge a clockwork item with all ten charges still on it.

There might be database issues having to do with a recursive lookup if you use an item in a recipe for itself. If the recursive recipe-lookup function won't go into an infinite loop if an item uses a copy of itself as a component, then my recommendation stands. Otherwise, you have to keep the duplicates.

The recharge recipes are set up that way for all rechargeable items, clockwork observer, gvd and all the other tinkered stuff etc. Leaving this for Krazick or Ngreth to comment on.

Well... it was an original idea, just to show how it is charged... it is a catch 22... we have some people who would complain if we included the charge recipe with the "max" charge item we have in the DB because they have an item with no charges listed and want to know what to do with it. We want to have the charge recipe because of the different batteries used to charge different items...

For lucy to EQTC item ID linking... just the charged ones are fine.

My original poroblem way back when may have been recursion issues... which I may have solved since then... hrm... that may be a nice mass project to give someone. Let me take a vote from the community.

Fixed (per Ngreth instructions on the side). The recharging recipes use the same pieces as they make, with the recipes noted to explain.
