"a kobold scout" in Toxx also drops Kobold hides.

It is used in the Guktan Initiate's Shield quest.
      http://www.eqtraders.com/articles/ar...hp?article=q35

The editor's question on that page can be answered as "skin".

Combine 2 Kobold hides and a skinning knife in a sewing kit (collapsed in my case) created "Stretched Kobold Leather" and returned my skinning knife.

      Stretched Kobold Leather
      Magic Item
      Wt: 1.0 Size: Small
      Class: None
      Race: None
      Merchants buy for .024 p
      Merchants sell for .026 p
      Trivial: 15

Combine 1 skinning knife, 1 medium quality bear skin, and 2 spider silks in a sewing kit creates "Leathery Twine". The skinning knife is returned.

      Leathery Twine
      Magic Item
      Wt: 1.0 Size: Small
      Class: None
      Race: None
      Merchants buy for .027 p.
      Merchants sell for .029 p.
      Trivial: 15

I went and verified all the above info. You had to ask me what it was used for, didn't you.

Most interesting... Two new Recipes we had not seen before.

So the obvious question is now, what are the Stretched Kobold Leather and Leathery Twine for?

What? You didn't see that comming?

Anyone want to try and string a bow with the Leathery Twine? How about trying out different sorts of Hides in place of the MQ Bear Skin?

You can't really say that the recipes haven't been seen before, since they're written up here:
          http://www.eqtraders.com/articles/ar...hp?article=q35

So both the Stretched Kobold Leather and Leathery Twine can get a note directing toward step one of the Progressive Froglok Shaman Shield Quests. The editor's question on that page can be answered as skin (i.e. the text of MQ bear pelt should be changed to MQ bear skin).

I can't remember now (I've sold off the leather and twine) but I'm pretty sure that neither one was tradeskill tagged or I would've mentioned it.

OK. I had not seen them before... and Verdandi who created the posted article did not add the recipes into the DB. I don't review all the material posted... I probably should review all the Newbie Quests looking for new recipes...

            Hmmm... more work.
