Default Upgraded Bloodlines Spells

The Bloodlines Chronicles adventure pack introduced a new level 35 spell/combat art for every class. These spells, and the recipes to make them, are sold in camps in Nektulos Forest.

Some of the spells/arts, like fine wine, matured gracefully, staying robust (scaling) as the player leveled. Others became stunted, wizened things that soon were put aside as the player leveled into bigger and better things.

GU38 tried to fix that scaling imbalance a bit, by releasing level 53 upgrades of the Bloodlines spells/arts that didn't quite scale well. Below is a list of newly-added recipes for those Bloodlines upgrades. All are "Ancient teachings of: " as far as the recipe scroll name.

Alchemists:
Essence of Doom Aura - paladin/sk

Jewelers:
Rune of Magic Rebuff - troubador/dirge

Sages:
Horde of Bats - conjuror/necromancer
Punish Corruption - templar/inquisitor
Senses of the Bat - warden/fury
Glacialflame - wizard/warlock
Mana Cover - illusionist/coercer

Sorry I just found this thread. I posted this question in the Jeweler forum.

I looked in Nektulos last night and did not see them. I saw the level 35 versions (which I already have scribed), just not the level 53 ones. Someone told me they got moved to Maj Dul, I've looked high and low and can't find them. Have they been removed??

Did you look inside the courts? I believe they're on the faction merchants inside the courts of coin, blades and truth, not outside in the zone of Maj'dul itself.

Yes, you can buy them from inside one of the courts if you have enough faction to get in. You can buy them from the guy/gal that sells advanced spells.

Correct, these are sold on Maj'Dul court faction. Other than that, you have to wait and hope for them as chest drops off mobs.

Or you can find someone to make the adept 3 for you but they can only currently get the recipes inside the Courts of Maj'dul and the recipe scrolls are no trade.

Unless there has been a recent change, the recipe scrolls sold in the Maj'Dul courts are tradeable - my hubby's highest level adventurer (a weaponsmith) with high enough faction purchased the Magic Rebuff scroll for my jeweler and the scrolls for his alchemist. I've also seen some of these scrolls for sale on the broker on Runnyeye

The recipe scrolls were tradeable for a weekend, and then were switched to No Trade (as they were intended to be from the beginning )

The mob-dropped versions of the recipes should still be tradable (as all the other mob-dropped Ancient Teachings for 52/55/58 are). Only the Courts-purchased scrolls should be untradable.

And you can get Court faction with a lowbie adventurer; you just need to farm Tokens for them with a higher-level ones. Or buy tokens off the broker, but it would probably be cheaper to just buy the mob-dropped AT recipe scrolls if you're only after the level 53 ones.

I did find them in the Court of Truth. I was looking for the same Advanced recipe that the level 35 version was and when I had upgraded all my other Ancient Teachings spells I unknowingly upgraded this recipe also. I would have to check a third time to verify, but I'm pretty sure they were still tradeable. Obviously the one I bought off the broker was.

They cost about 8g50s each and you need at least 30,000 faction points with a Court to buy them. They are definitely No-Trade and I had to farm coins to get my level 16 Arasai (sp?) to that faction level. At that point you can also buy the level 53 (52?) Ancient Teaching scrolls. I think you need higher faction levels (40,000 & 50,000) to buy the level 55 and level 58 ones.
