  • You know you play EQ too much when ... (resurrected!)

    On my way to work this morning I saw a couple people trudging along the side of the road with a gas can ... I felt badly since I didn't dare offer a ride to strangers, when I suddenly thought, "Oh! I can buff them! Let's see, sow, yes, maybe HoS in case they run into something nasty..." ^_^;

I currently have a cold, and a headache.

I have had to stop myself from shouting "Want to Buy Tylenol!"

At least I didnt add "Please Send Tell, KTHX"

          Ok, real situation.

I live in a dorm and sometimes don't put the shade up before going outside. One day after an EQ session this happened, and as soon as I stepped outside I saw it was pouring the rain. My first thought was, "Wake of Karana!" Then I had a reality check and was sadly disappointed *sigh* hehehehe

I was watching the movie "Evolution" with my guy the other day, you know, the cheesy one with David Duchovny?

There's a part where a woman is walking down a golf course hill to meet a man, who unfortunately (and unbeknownst to her) had discovered a very vicious little creature in a nearby water trap. He starts to run in her direction, they see each other, and then she sees the monster.

Dumela looked at me and said, "He'd better not keep running towards her; he'll train that monster on her."

I almost cried because I was thinking the same thing.

I wish someone would train my boss (and his wife) out of the office today.

Sometimes I look at liscense(sp?) plates on the back of cars and see common abbreviations for tells or items in game and get to thinking about it and laughing.

I quit the game I loved because it wasn't anymore. Guilds allowing farmers in because they could do a lot of damage in raids.
SoE not really doing anything about farmers, macroquesters ect.

                    You want bad, try this.

Yesterday, my mom and my aunt (who's visiting us from far away) asked if I could drive them out to a mall. My mom wanted to visit a really nice cafe there; they have these dancing fountains that are really fun to watch. She said, "We can just sit by the fountain for a bit, have a cup of coffee, and relax."

Honest to God, my first thought was, "Cool, I can practice fishing while medding."

You get remined of your younger days in Crush Bone, Oasis, and your mid level days in EW while watching Lord of Rings. And you get flash backs to trains when the Orcs attack.

Your out for a road trip and repeatedly think to your self. " This would be much faster with a port." or (if your main is a porting class), You want to go some places so the first thing you do is thing of the closest druid ring or wizzy spire/platfurm is at.

U know U Play too much when....

Your buddy in RL says something that you like and you say "slash agree" (we do this all the time, no thought involved)

You run the risk of hypothermia when it gets cold because, "Hey, Barbarians don't wear shirts!"

You expect a semblance of courtesy from salespeople in RL along the lines of, "a_Old_Navy_Salesperson says 'Hello Soandso, have you seen the new a_half_zipped_pullover I just got in?'"

For those of you in the sales business, how do you greet your customers?

I would imagine that most retail people would Glare Threatingly.

Scowls = I come over and attack

Glares = Come near me for more then 3 seconds, and I attack.

<grin> Leave the nice sales people alone, and no worries.
Come over and ask the dumb question, or be a snotty snit, and you get Glared at.

                            Not in retail,

Sorry, if you aren't from the US or if you don't watch a lot of television you might not have got that reference. Old Navy "Evil Trendy Clothing Store" did a series of commercials that resembled the old "Family Fued" game show. They were selling pullover jackets that have a zipper that only goes halfway up, thence a half-zipped pullover.

Did I mention they were evil?
