  • Wouldn't it be nice.....

Yes, we have expanded our bank slots but due to the amount of ingredients needed for tradeskills our banks are still full. Wouldn't it be nice to have a bank tab for just tradeskill items??

I barely have room on any of my characters since you have to keep a ton of no trade items (keys for zones, etc).

I think that I have made at least 4 alts who just hold tradeskill items and that is a pain.

I was just thinking the very same today. There are seemingly many things that could be done for storage that many would appreciate. Crafted boxes like EQ2 with 20 slots, rented bank space that is accessible to a character or account, quests for more bank slots or specific types of bank slots. Inventory juggling is a frustration and if there is any lore, it escapes me.....my garage is packed and my car is on the drive!!!

While crowding your bank is a pain, it is part of the challenge associated with advancement - in every MMO I've ever played. Heck it's part of the challenge of living. What to keep? What can stay? What's important, what's not?

Honestly, the amount of stuff you have will expand to fill all available space anyway. Should you get even more storage space, it too would soon be full.

Too true... I was out of bank space about four days after the last bank expansion
I could probably clear out a third of it, cause its mostly just stuff I tradeskill with once I collect enough of it, but it is nice not to have to switch toons too much.

Too true, once a "Pakrat" always a"Pakrat"...Changing the amount of space will nt change you just give more room to stuff stuff.../grin.

I constantly have bank troubles, because I tend to loot random stuff for linkwars and such (no, I don't hoard valuable stuff, I hoard the absolute crap.. my friend and I try to get the most worthless items there are and have linkwars over them :P)

As well as I deleted 2 full bags of MM rewards that I was hoarding ..
and a ton of other stuff..

Every few months I go through my bank and just give stuff away that I am never going to sell ;P

It is an inescapable fact of life ... the Law of Clutter ...

Clutter will always accumulate to exceed the available amount of space for said clutter.

It would be nice if you did not have to keep your keys or zone accesses. Once you gain access it should be updated on the system or you should have a way to see what you have access to without having to keep all of the junk.

There are very few keys that actually need to be kept.

The vast majority of zone access is via flag or keyringable keys.

                        Try typing /key some time.

However SOE has reset the keyring once - and a lot of people had to reget the keys they destroyed... and you can trust that some patch in the future will futz it all up again...

                            When was this?

I have never had my keyring reset and I've been playing since before it was implemented.

Considering how many raid progression keys go on /key without an actual item, destroying keys is safe.
                              Examples include:
                              Lower Depths of Lxanvom
                              Qvic
                              Anguish
                              DoDH Blood raids

The keyring was reset once, but that was 2 weeks after they implemented it, and GM's were reimbursing any keys lost.
