If you look up the item Helm of Nocturnal Phantasms a Jewlery combine from PoP... before OoW came out it did not have a tag on it that says "this item can be used in tradeskills..." well now it does i would like to know why ).. Please help if you can, thank you.

Hmmm.. after reading this, I had to log in and check mine out. It does indeed have the tag. Though, I am not sure that I would want to go poking around trying to find the recipie that it is used in, as it took me quite a bit of time to find the items that were needed to make it.

Now, if it is returned on failure, then I wouldn't mind trying some experiments, but, I am not going to risk it.

I think Maddoc also got overzealous and a few items that do not deserve the tag got them... so I would not loose sleep over it

Some items missed, some unintended items tagged. Sounds like he forgot to carry the 1 somewhere in his script

The Helm of Nocturnal Phantasms annoys me.

If you look at the PoP tradeskill recipes that use the PoP imbued diamonds, you will see that most of the diamonds are used to make one jewelry item and one pottery item (there doesn't seem to be a Greasy Diamond of Innovation jewelry item).

The Black Diamond of Nightmares is used in two jewelry recipes -- the Iron Amulet Of Unseen Horrors and the Helm of Nocturnal Phantasms (the diamond is used to make a Emblem Of Nightmare) -- but isn't used in any PoP pottery recipes.

Why is the Helm of Nocturnal Phantasms such an odd duck? It uses an Emblem Of Nightmare, which is a PoP tailoring item, and it has a focus effect, Mana Preservation III. None of the other PoP jewelry items have a focus effect. Only the PoP pottery items have focus effects.

I think the Helm of Nocturnal Phantasms was originally supposed to a pottery recipe, but somehow it got mixed up with the jewelry recipes.

Emblems are jewelcrafted and are used for PoP tailoring (and smithing) and this one jewelcrafting recipe.
