misidentified utility item

Unfired Black Ceramic Band shows Celestial Essence as a utility item and the Sculpting Tool as not one.

For the purpose of the database, a utility item is one that has many subcombines not directly related to the main item being produced. Examples include celestial essence and leather padding -- if I want to look up how to make ceramic bands, I don't necessarily want to see all 40-odd ways to make CE.

Sculpting tools are vendor-sold and don't have any recipes, which is probably why they're not tagged as utility items.

Ah, ok. My mistake. I had thought that 'utility item' meant it was a flag to indicate the item is returned regardless of sucess or failure (ala smithy hammer, file, etc). If I'da only read the description for utillity item first.

Maybe "Common component"? Or just "Too many subcombines".

The problem is that items like a file, or a block of ore should also have this tag, so certain terms that make sense for, say, CE would sound weird with those, and vice versa.

I think "common component" would work be an improvement.

...probably too wordy, but maybe those will spark a great idea on someone else's part

was my first thought, but it's essentially the same as

Although what I think you're really after is a fast way to say 'You REALLY don't want us to spam you with all the ways to make this thing'
