when are servers due up?

I am at work and can't see the Sony boards from here(blocked), what time are the servers "due" to be up?

so 4pm Pacific/7pm eastern, in North America zones.

I'm always confused during patches though if you go to EQlive and look at the network status they almost always say UP. Currently only Stromm shows as being down, even though at least 5 more hours before the "estimated" 14 hour timeframe is up.

I would think you should be able to go to Sony's own boards and review the status and have it be accurate for the players.

Only explanation I can think of is that servers are up and their doing an internal sanity of the release, so "technically" their up but restricted access? If this is the case, shouldn't the status reflect impact to the PLAYING community?

Stuck at work myself and it would be really nice if there was a way to tell remotely without attempting to log in that servers/login servers were down still.

The World Servers are up... but the Login-Server is down.

They need to have something on the Server Status page that indicates that the Login-Server is down, that's all.

Of course, the Progression Servers should not have been affected by this patch at all... true?

I presume that some of the changes in the patches today (such as the changes to zoning after death, bug fixes etc.) will effect progression as well.

As long as yall don't try to stampede the main servers you could try to prepatch using the test server...

14 hours is not acceptable.

From now on, it is required that Sony get the patch done before I, personally, try to log in the next day.

No more of this full day of withdrawl symptoms. It's not acceptable.

At the very least, they need to call and find out that I'm going to be out all evening, so that they've effectively robbed me of 24 hours worth of play.

And nobody wants to see me like that.

Servers are down again. Certain areas giving 15% to 18% aaxp at 71, so crash down came the servers.

Yeah, and patches to fix the patch will happen US day, which means that even though I'm 99% through 70, it'll still be Friday before I ding 71...if I'm lucky, may have to wait until Saturday night when I'm off
