I've been saving up a lot of Superb Rockhopper Hides for a while and today I finally made enough Acrylia Studs to do all the combines Here are the results of my 210 Acrylia Studded Mask combines. All Combines were done with my Wisdom at 255 and no Geerlok.
Skill/Success/Fail/Total/Skill on..
158- 5 / 2 / 7 / Success
159- 2 / - / 2 / Success
160- 1 / 1 / 2 / Success
161- 1 / 1 / 2 / Success
162- 4 / 3 / 7 / Success
163- 2 / 2 / 4 / Failure
164- 13 / 8 / 21 / Success
165- 6 / 2 / 8 / Success
166- 6 / 2 / 8 / Success
167- 12 / 1 / 13 / Success
168- 5 / 1 / 6 / Success
169- 4 / 3 / 7 / Success
170- 1 / - / 1 / Success
171- 2 / - / 2 / Success
172- 5 / 1 / 6 / Success
173- 3 / - / 3 / Success
174- 10 / 3 / 13 / Success
175- 1 / - / 1 Success
176- 9 / 1 / 10 / Success
177- 1 / 1 / 2 / Success
178- 11 / 4 / 15 / Failure
179- 22 / 1 / 23 / Success
180- 1 / - / 1 / Success
181- 1 / - / 1 / Success
182- 37 / 2 / 39 / Success
So I ended up "dinging" 183 with all those hides and have 5 more points before I trivialize it. Also, breaking down the data...
Total Skill Ups : 25
Total Success : 173
Total Failled : 37
Average Skill Up Per-Combine : About 8
23 Skill ups off a Successful Combine.
2 Skill Ups off a Failed Combne.
So I ended up with a pretty good ratio on the ammount of combines per skill up I think. However, I know that the "hell" skill levels are just around the corner. I'm going to end up finishing Acrylia Studded out till it becomes trivial at 188, then I'm headed for a combination of Acrylia Reinforced, which I already have 140 Hides and Boning ready for, and Arctic Wvyern gear. Also, if you're wondering, I collected just about all the Acrylia myself in Teneberous Mountains and I collected maybe 60 of the hides myself. The rest was bought.
So as far as cost goes I'm going to guess I spent 15,000pp on the hides, 3,150pp on the Small Pieces of Acrylia, about 440pp on the Tannin and about 11pp on the Patterns for a combined cost of 18,601pp. I didn't make any sellables so I wont see any of this money again but it was worth it in my opinion
I hope this helps a little for some people that want to push past 158 but are unsure of what it may cost or how many supplies they may need. I know it varies on how many supplies each person needs, but at least this gives a rough estimate. Once I do another huge tailoring combine I will try to collect my results and post them again.
