I have heard chatter in general channels that you cannot skill up combat skills on them - only casting. But I have no personal experience, just the chatter.
Can you skill up your combat skills on combat dummies or are they just decorations that can be attacked?

300 Baker, Brewer, Potter, Jeweler, Fletcher, Smith (woodelf, drakkin, high elf and vah shir), Tailor (woodelf, drakkin, high elf), Researcher, Tinker, Poison Maker and Alchemist (x4 for friends)
I left my toon punching one while I was walking the dogs - no skillups.
I did learn that they do fight back, and hit HARD if you face them.

Update: lobbed 1,000 arrows then 1,000 throwing daggers at them - no skillups (and they were yellow con dummies).
So, you can NOT skill up combat with them.
