I would just like to thank the EQ Traders community for their wealth of information. Without it I would have been completely lost. I have lurked for longer than I would care to admit, but finally registered and thought I'd share some of my data.

4 skillups on failed combine

All these combines were done using enchanted metals with a geerlock. Full detail on which items at which skill levels is part of the spreadsheet.

Great work!

Matches the data I posted also. 2 things of note.

The skillup rate on fails is not demonstrated to be worse than skillups on successes. This supports my notion that skillups are independant of success or fail (this is important if skillups are the most important thing).

The combine to skillup rate is 30 to 1, which is exactly what I have found on all my tradeskill toons. This is frustrating, but true.

Congrats again, and I know what it felt like when you went 167 combines without a skillup!

I'm pretty sure I've read in multiple places that you have double the chance of a skillup on a success than you do on a failure. I believe that was given to the community at one of the Fan Faires.
