The foraging impaired and cheap path to baking (well, at least the way I did it, although my choices may have been influenced by the fact that I was working Yunjo faction for the BiC quest):

54 - Gates of Discord Baking Freebie Quest (I know, not required, and there is no known use for the wheat, but I have high hopes that the wheat will become usable, and I will be ready! Plus, free is good.)

82 - Fish fillets

135 - Fish Rolls

176 - Beer battered crab steaks and beer battered tuna steaks

207 - Beer battered crab rolls and beer battered tuna roll

236 - Beer battered crab pie and beer battered tuna pie *Note on vegetables: NO!! You do not have to have a forager. Just buy carrots, lettuce and turnips and combine in a mixing bowl!

252 - Beer battered crab souffle and beer battered tuna souffle

So at this point, you can't fish as much anymore without getting into recipes that are a real pain. And I have used several different recipes from items that I picked up while hunting. Though I'd say my main skill up avenue is Misty Thicket Picnics. Here is what I'm doing:

276 - Mephit Sandwich

302 - Hobgoblin surprise

335 - Misty thicket picnics - I buy the jum jum in Shadow Haven and hunt the brownies

I just want to point out on pottery you might want to look at firing the star ruby encusted stien and getting the 243 tribute points out of them if nothing else.

I maxxed out tribute on 2 characters, and had over 500k in guild tribute before apping to a new guild.

Similarly, tailoring 160+ can now be done with Expert DoN armor (which is ~18pp a combine, plus a HQ cat/HQ Bear/HQ Wolf/HQ Rockhopper/2 Drachnid Silks/2 Crystalline Silks and your cultural needle). You have to do the book quest as well, but that's nothing. It's different for every race, but it's definitely preferable to Solstice robes, velious tailoring, acrylia or platinum ribbons. I'm getting along happily with it now.

Thanks to all the people on the serverwide channel that pointed that one out to me just before i blew all my cash on making gem-studded chains.

Did I miss something? isnt experts don armor 70p a combine? In theory we are supposed to get a skill up bonus for DoN combines so it may make the price seem better

I think only the master and grandmaster combines are tagged with the higher chance for skill up. Even if the expert level were tagged for higher skill up chance (10%), it'd be less than the regular chance for skill up, so it'd never kick in.

Although Master smithed armour is very expensive(to me) to make. The stuff is readily baz farmed or bartered... randomly vendor dived... or heck even fairly easily farmed for some races. I am *extremely* happy with the skill-ups so far on my DON smithed cultural....

The bonus is that you can probably get enough money back if you don't flood the market to cover costs for failures... so in the end I'm finding it very cheap.

Magi Rune

I'd strongly recommend adding the following recipe to the tailoring path. It trivials at 231. And often you can get Hynid Manes somewhat commonly in the bazaar. The 3rd version is the cheap one.
