After trying to forage morning dew and then killing a few fairies out of curiosity to see how fast they drop it, I decided to switch from my lvl 52 druid to my lvl 49 enchanter with a pet since the pet could melee through the fairies faster then my druid could nuke/med.
After 3 hours of mowing through ever mob in the camp I was coming up with 5 dews an hour. It dropped from any of the fairies, highest to lowest, in the camp and out on the edge. Any fairie in that area seemed to have the chance to drop it. I didn't touch the brownie encampment since the guards are much higher lvl then the fairies, there are a lot less of them, .... and someone already had the camp. The fairies in the middle seemed to spawn slowly, those on the outer edge seemed to spawn fairly quickly. At my quickest of clearing the camp, there was always 1-3 spawning on the other side. Fastest method I can think of is have some fast cast low mana spell launched on every fairy you can see and have the pet grind through them as they come close. Only faction affected was fairy, even when killing the mechanical gnome gaurd in the middle.
Side note for extra cash while farming: higher lvl the fairie also had a better chance of dropping lower end gems and bronze or fine steel weapons. Wish I had more room for all the fine steel I got to sell to merchants, but a small stack of ivory sold for a nice little amount (6p each and they stack). Didn't see Equestrialle the Corrupted (lvl 40 sk horse that wanders lfey if your not familiar with it) but I had killed it the night before with my druid. Enchanter pet wielding bronze knuckles is kinda fun to watch
, just wish those weren't limited to primary.
