Go to the North East corner of the zone where you see 1 generator there. You can do the last combine there with invis (no need to kill any mob). Forget about the room with 4 generators

My group cleared the area around the lower right of the four generator rooms for the tailoring combine. It was not sufficient to clear just that area -- there were mobs in the adjacent rooms that needed to be cleared as well.

I got a group of guildmates to clear out a generator room today to do my final combine. I moved to the spot a guild mate used to do his final combine and kept getting the message that I should move closer?

I am as far up as I can go before crouching, no mobs in the room at all, I tried with levi, w/o levi, invised, not invised, shrunk, grown, but nothign worked. Liek I said we had a guild mate that was with us show me where he did his combine about a month ago and it still did not work.

Thank you for the help, its very furstrating to be so close to finishing but not able too.

I am stuck at the last combine as well. I had been clearing the room for good hour or 2 already. Any idea what had been doing wrong?

I haven't done this yet - so I apologize for jumping in with a possible wrong idea...

It is possible that when you place the boxes, the game sets a flag which includes the placement time. Any calculation after that point in time, no matter how logical based on the game clock and instructions is subject to fail if the box thinks time stopped when it was placed...

If the flag is global, does it set it when you place the first box, or the last box? Is it possible that each box has it's own flag, and that by placing each box at a different time, that each box can have loot in it? Ie place middle at 6AM, West at 7AM, East at 8AM... maybe then you can choose any box?

Anyhow, 3 mins to place and open is doable.

I have 1 shadow box again, 2 more and I will risk another fail by choosing the West box at 7AM. The difference is I'll place and open at the same hour.

OK. Here is a list of my assumptions. Can you at least tell me if any are known to be wrong?

1. I'm doing this for myself and another (arrow for Eron, but ultimately jewelry for myself).

2. At 7 AM the hourly angle from the start of a new day is 7.

3. From the book: starting at 1 and adding 5 = 3. Therefore starting at 1 and adding 7 = 2.

4. If the circle is 1 Middle, 2 West, 3 East, box number 2 is West.

No need to give out wrong info, just have a look and see if any of those is wrong.

I appreciate the fact that you have figured out a no fail way to do the placement/openning, but instead of scolding someone maybe offer some suggestion as to why his placement/openning failed. I think it would be much more constructive and allow everyone to understand the quest a little better.

I too failed my first attempt trying to stray from the norm, but ended up doing it your way on my second attempt. Does anyone truly understand this part of the quest other than Zolina's posted method works?

I like the way you think I try to understand exactly how a quest works, so following a prescribed solution is never what I like to do Call me stubborn, I guess.

Next time I think I will choose the same box. But as Zolina posted, I will do the placement and the opening on the same minute.

Can we agree that the correct box to open at 7 AM is the West box? (box 2).

If you'd followed the instructions exactly as I said, you would have succeeded, you decided to improvise and failed. If you don't want to follow directions, improvise again and risk failing again. I just wanted to help you succeed.

You should place and open the boxes at the same hour, don't wait for an hour to pass between the times. I think the order is based on when you place them, not when you open them, but to be safe, make them the same time. Do that with a /time hotkey so you know exactly when the hour has changed, so you have a full 3 minutes to do everything.

The order of placing boxes doesn't change until 16:00.

From 05:00 to 15:59, the correct order is Middle, West, East.

Therefore, placing at 6AM and opening at 7AM would not affect the order, as I understand it.

Please, if we are going to say that "you must place and open at the same hour", provide evidence the the instructions in the book indicate this. I don't think any indication of the sort is given.
