Abysmal Tradeskill Quest

Putting this here for now as I find out what goes into this quest.

Talking to a dwarf named Tillgar in Abysmal (near the bridge, around to the west on the outside, Loc: -151,78) nets:

Tillgar grumbles. 'Sorry if'n I seem a bit cranky today. Bein' 'ere without me [favorite drink] is causin' me a bit o' trouble.'

What Favorite Drink?

Tillgar says 'Why Freeport Stout of course! I don't be knowin' why I like it so much. Just do. There be none in this city though. If you could bring me four Freeport Stouts, I think I could part with some coin for ye.'

Freeport Stout is bought in East Freeport from Jaleel Hoglomp in the bar near the exit to North Ro
Handing him 4 Freeport Stout nets:

Tillgar says 'Blessed be ye!' Tillgar immediately starts to swig down the stout. 'Take this for yer trouble. I don't much care fer wine.''

Cristov Clementstein says 'Why hello there. I see that you are a fellow wine connoisseur like me. I am of course referring to that bottle of Cristov's Red Wine you have in your possession. That is my award winning recipe! Did you just arrive aboard the ship? I have been here for a while. I am very [excited].'

Why are you excited?

Cristov Clementstein says 'You seem like the trustworthy sort. I will let you in on a little secret. I have come up with a great idea! It is a wonderful little contraption that would crush grapes. This would be no ordinary crushing device however. It crushes them with such finesse that the wine it could produce would be very valuable. I have drawn some diagrams for this but the problem is I am not very proficient at building such a thing and I would need some parts to do it. I sure am parched. Hey, if you give me that wine of yours, I will give you the schematics.'

Handing him the above wine nets:

Cristov Clementstein says 'Thank you! This wine will hit the spot. Here are the schematics I made. It looks like we are business partners! I trust you have some knowledge of blacksmithing so you can build my device. Oh, don't worry, you will be compensated for your efforts. Hand me the device if you are able to construct it.'

An adventurer once gave me some and mentioned that he found them somewhere near the city on the continent. See if you can find them. Hand the completed wine to me when you are done.'

However Cristov's Finest Red Wine shows up in the brew barrel UI, and has the same ingredients plus a red wine. I'd thought at first that this was the same wine you turn in at first. But that is only Cristov's Red Wine.

I think they are foraged in Natimbi.

Natimbi has a HUGE forage table so it may take a while to get some.

Oh.. and... Smithing... Not trivial at 250... Hmmm....

Its a PITA recepie and you have to vendor dive for some of it, but its a cheap alternative..

I have noticed a few ground spawns around Natimbi, that look like little bags. I think one was near the dock by the zonein right by the water.

Are you sure it was a ground spawn (as in picked it up and saw it back again later) as opposed to something somebody dropped?

bags right by the water = dropped fishing crap in my experience.

Those little bags are Distilled Salts (no drop)...used in a quest given by the female iskar near Morden Rasp in what I guess is the 'command center' of the ship city in Abysmal Sea. She gives a container and asks for a sample involving the tongues of various creatures preserved with the distilled salts. I havent gotten anywhere with this other than finding 3 salt groundspawns yesterday

So yet another quest non-forager cant complete. Why can't the NPCs indicate you can never complete this quest so do not bother with the grape crushing device and such?

'X can be foraged' does not imply 'the only way to get X is to forage'. Consider for example LoY dye components. Therefore

Quest solved to this point, although I don't know what tradeskill Cristov's Finest Red Wine can be used for, so there's that possibility. However he makes no mention of anything further.

The text in the note is a typo, It's missing Red Wine as well, I only knew that since the recipe was already in the UI list.

Good work, completed mine as well.. really hoping this quest is a progressive one that doesnt end here.. the item is pretty much useless as it stands
