Darkhollow Seals

Ok, didn't test everything (and failed one combine so can't confirm all the results 100%).
Trivials were unchanged for the ones I succeeded at. I didn't test any tinkering, and the smithing I extrapolated from the tailoring.
I tried a couple combines with silks (both with 1 and 2) and got DNC.

Old Drop = New Drop =>seal
Last Blood Steel = Cobalt Ore =>Last Blood Seal
*Bazu Steel = Cobalt Ore =>Bazu Seal
*Discordant Steel = Tungsten Ore =>Discordant Seal
*Chronal Steel = Tungsten Ore =>Chronal Seal
Fine Silk Swatch = Superb Animal Pelt =>Last Blood Seal
*Magnificent Hide = Superb Animal Pelt =>Bazu Seal (Excellent was DNC so I assume Superb)
*Mottled Hide = Excellent Animal Pelt =>Discordant Seal (Failed combine)
Shimmering Silk = Excellent Animal Pelt =>Chronal Seal

Do you mean the pelt/silk/ore drop, the marrow/spinneret/loam drop, or both?

Well, the Tailoring version worked fine with the Pelt. Couldn't seem to get the Silk version to work, with or without spinneret fluid - and since I only had Hide and Silk to hand, I didn't try to verify the Smithing version.

And for the person who asked.... I have stated many many times...

just the ___ seal not the seals of ___ not last blood of ___ just the base seals that are part of the combine for the bazu seal of ___ or last blood of ___ (or chronal or discordant) And it uses the same result item, just different recipe to make that result item so any stored seals will still work.

Actually, it doesn't seem to be much of a mystery Just swapped the dropped parts for the new TS drop

I have 2 copies of the book, 1 from before the new cultural changes went live, and 1 from after (but not after this week's patch). They both show the old text. The reward listed from the task (same task, but now triggered by the text to get the symbol tasks rather than by saying "underground") is the same item as well.

Well, usually the books are patched so the text changes in-place, and the "Seals of Darkhollow" book is tradeable, so perhaps someone still has theirs on an Alt?

Hmm. I never did identify the original source of these recipes, was it a Bellfast quested book? If so, has the book text been updated?

Quest was for book "Seals of Darkhollow" straight from the cultural book quest NPC in home towns, looting and turning in a large darkhollow geode, if I remember correctly. Presumably next time one needs to do the quest it results in a new book with new recipes? Hmmm...

Weird... I guess I'm going to have to nose around a bit more to find the recipes then. Atleast the old ones are still working :P

I just completed quest for Scrindite's Mechanoinstruction Manual last night and nothing in there has changed. But that's just instructions for the Hole Punch and Mechanoinstructions themselves.

What all is changing with these recipes?

Let me add to that question. Somehow I missed this piece of information in the existing threads. Is it just Bazu Seal that's changing? Or is it Bazu Seal of... that's changing? Are sub-combines being changed? I have done almost nothing for the last two weeks besides farming / foraging components for making last blood/ bazu seals / AAAA's, etc. for my guild (so we can make our own). I would really like to know how much is changing.

I kind of spaced checking last night. Does anyone know if the Seals (Last Blood, Bazu, Discordant and Chronal) changed with this patch? I don't remember seeing the note for them in the patch message, but I remember Ngreth saying that they would be coming sooner than later.
